Pixi is hands down one of my favourite skincare brands. They offer some of the most effective skincare I've ever tried and a few of the products I couldn't be without. The price point of the brand is reasonable too. They sit in the mid-priced category but some of the product easily rival products with a £50+ price tag. I have quite the collection of Pixi skincare so I thought it was about time I reviewed it all for you...
Pixi and Caroline Horins Double Cleanse* | £24
This innovative cleanser caused quite a stir in the beauty community when it launched. And for good reason, skincare guru Caroline Horins has put her name on the product, so you know it's not going to disappoint. This large pot houses Two cleansers. One side is a solid balm, to remove makeup. And the other side is a gentle cream cleanser to cleanse the skin! The balm side does an excellent job at breaking down all the makeup, making it super easy to remove. The cream side leaves my face feeling clean and fresh but not stripped at all. I do really like this duo and 2 cleansers in one make it super convenient to use. Neither cleanser contains fragrances or anything nasty! Definitely one to check out.
Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser | £18
I'd completely forgotten how good this cleanser is! It contains AHA's to gentle exfoliate the skin and give it a brightening effect. Which this really does! After just a few uses my skin looked so much more radiant and felt so smooth! It does have a thick consistency and because of the AHA this is definitely a second cleanser.
Pixi Glow Tonic | £18
I think this is the product that really started the Pixi craze! The famous Glow Tonic! This toner is very aptly named because it really is a tonic that gives the skin a glow! It contains 5% Glycolic acid which melts the 'glue' that holds dead skin cells to the face, revealing brighter, fresher, more radiant skin! It contains a range of ingredients that also sooth, hydrate and improve the skin. I've gone through bottles and bottles of the stuff! It's gentle enough to be used once a day! I like to use it in the morning. I really can't recommend this enough.
Pixi Glow Peel Pads* | £24
These are similar to the Glow Tonic but they have a slightly higher percentage of Gylcolic Acid in them, 20%, and are in a pad form. The have a slightly more intense effect but give the same results as the glow tonic - fresher, more refined, glowing skin. I love that these are pads, it makes them so easy to use! I do find I go through them a lot quicker than the bottle though. Because these are slightly stronger in AHAs I use them once or twice a week when my skin needs a little extra oomph! If you are well accustomed to AHAs definitely check these out.
Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask | £18
I've lost count of the amount of times I've featured this! But this overnight treatment is a dry skin saviour! It's quite a rich cream that I like to use as the last step in my evening skincare routine, to seal all the other products in. In the morning my skin looks so plump, smooth and feels so soft! If you have dry / dehydrated skin I really recommend this!
Pixi Caviar Essence* | £26
Next have this serum- essence. Which is a silky, light weight serum that you use after cleansing to re hydrate and re balance the skin. The texture melts into my skin really quickly. It contains a whole range of hydrating ingredients, alongside antioxidants to hydrate and boost brightness. I haven't been using this long but so far I really like this. It adds an extra layer of hydration to my dehydrated skin and makes a great base for the rest of my skincare to go on top.
Pixi Rose Flash Balm* | £26
I've heard amazing about things about this so I was so excited when it landed on my desk. It's a 3-in-1 radiance boosting balm, that can be used as a moisturiser, a mask or a primer. I makes a really nice moisturiser / primer. It's light, yet hydrating and makeup applies really nicely over the top. It really does give the skin a veil of radiance and banishes tiredness and dullness from the skin.
Pixi Glow Mud Mask | £18
This mask is a 15 minute, mineral rich clarifying mask. But unlike the other 'Glow' products this doesn't contain AHAs. It has a thick consistency that doesn't overly dry, which I like, it makes it easier to remove. After removing my skin feels so smooth and clean! I don't find these overly drying on my skin either.
There are so many more products I want to try from them so expect a lot more of Pixi in my posts.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
