Note Worthy Haircare From American English

I love discovering new brands so when the haircare range American English landed on my doorstep I was instantly intrigued. I have long, thick, naturally curly hair so I'm always in the market for haircare that is going to tame my locks! And what American English has to offer is something different from most brands on the market. They are 100% vegan, not tested on animals, all their products are natural and ethically sourced.

The founders have had a pretty lengthy career in the hair industry. Stephen Durham is the master mind behind the award winning brand Twisted Sista. And Michael Kanyon was Key Stylist on Americas Next Top Model. So I think it's pretty safe to say they know their stuff!

American English have a range for almost every hair type. I've been testing a few of their products.

Youth Repair Vegan Shampoo* | £23

I always go for a Sulphate free shampoo, I find Sulphates dry my hair out and do nothing for my fizz issue. So I was pleased to see this is Sulphate and Parben free. It is also rich in Omega oils and hair loving ingredients to deeply nourish the hair while effectively cleansing it. This shampoo smells amazing, like Oranges. It does gently clean hair and leaves it feeling super clean, yet soft.

Youth Repair Vegan Conditioner* | £25

Next I have the matching conditioner, which is nothing short of amazing. It's rich formulation soothes and nourishes the hair to promote elasticity. It doesn't have an overly thick consistency but works in the same way as an intense conditioner. I like to leave it on for 5 mins or so so it can really penetrate hair. It's really easy to rinse out and doesn't weight my hair down at all. After the first use my hair was so much softer and had a lovely shine. I think measuring breakage and elasticity is difficult but after the 3rd round of bleaching my hair in 4 months my hair isn't as damaged and dry as I would expect it to be so I definitely think it works.

Multi Vitamin Nourishing Spray* | £23

This is a multi tasking, leave in conditioner that my haircare routine can no longer be without. This does everything from heat protection to taming fly aways, as well as adding hair loving vitamins to ensure hair stays healthy in the long term. This spray is very light weight, you can't feel in the hair at all. On wet hair this really makes my hair easier to brush and helps the whole blow dry process. I use this on dry hair too and leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth.

Seaberry Dry Oil* | £25

For me this is the star of the show. Oils have become an essential for me and this has quickly become my favourite. I like to use it when I've finished styling my hair. I like to mist it over the finished look and smooth the hair over and all my frizz has gone! Most oils do tame my frizz but this stuff actually eliminates it completely. It also adds shine and seals my split ends. It also leaves my hair feeling so soft. I find that because my hair is quite dry it doesn't really move, well it does but if I flick my hair behind my shoulders it just looks really messy but this gives it that nice swish. I'm not sure if that makes any sense. But if you have dry hair I really can't recommend it enough. It's a game changer!

Overall, I think it's pretty safe to say I love this brand! Everything I've tried has really performed well on my hair! Also the scent of everything is devine and actually lasts on the hair. For care that delivers this is the brand to check out.
