I've lost count of the amount of times I've brought a foundation Online and the shade hasn't been right. Which can be expensive and annoying! Not only that, the lack of shades in the drugstore make it difficult for most people to find their right shade. So when I saw these Pro Foundation Mixer shade adjuster drops from NYX on a late night Cult Beauty browse I chucked them straight into my basket!
What does Nyx claim?
NYX claim that these adjuster drops are game changing and allow you match any foundation to your skin tone perfectly. There are 6 shades of the drops available. To lighten, darken or simply change the under tone of your foundation. All you have to do is mix a couple of drops, depending on how much you want to adjust the shade, into your foundation and the job is done!
Does it Work?
I went for the shade Warmth because that's normally what I want to change about most foundations. The formula of the adjuster is quite watery, I was slightly concerned it would change the consistency of my foundation, but thankfully it didn't. It's a medium warm Brown colour that really does add warmth to the foundations. It also makes them slightly darker the more I add. It doesn't compromise the finish of foundation either. I've tested it with matte foundations and dewy ones and they have the same finish that they normally do without the drops.
Overall...
I'm really impressed with these! I've tried the shade adjusting drops from the Body Shop and they just made my foundation look muddy and didn't really mix with the foundation well. These ones though are perfect. They don't affect the foundation at all, and I've tried them with all my favourite ones that don't match me. They don't affect the wear time either. Definitely game changing!
I really can't recommend these enough. I really like that there are a range of under tones too. And what's even better is these are affordable!
