Two Foundations That Never Let Me Down

Foundations are my thing, I have a weakness for them. I own far too many foundations than I care to admit but I always seem to go back to the same Two. The Holy Grails if you will. So today I thought I'd keep it simple and just talk about them.

LA Girl HD Foundation | £11

I really don't talk much about this foundation considering how much I love it. This foundation has been likened to the Makeup Forever HD Foundation, but this one is far better in my opinion (I have a comparison post here). The consistency is very fluid and quite runny but this makes it so easy to blend into the skin. It offers medium but build-able coverage. For me it's all about the finish of this foundation. It gives my skin such an amazing healthy glow. It's also quite hydrating so it's perfect for dehydrated skin and it doesn't cling to any dry areas, or exaggerate any problem areas. I find this wears really well too, considering its finish. I have the shade Nude Beige which is a perfect match for me. There are 14 shades available and Two mixer shades to make foundations wither lighter or darker. I think the shade range is really good considering its price point. Overall, I really can't recommend this enough.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | £29.50

Another one of my favourite Foundations is this offering from Urban Decay. I feel like this is a love it or hate it foundation. I personally love it! This is probably the most full coverage foundation I own. It covers almost everything from dark circles to blemishes. I found that this actually looks really natural on the skin though. I mean it does look like you're wearing foundation but it doesn't look heavy or cakey. The finish is matte but not flat or masking on the skin. I think the consistency of this foundation is what puts people off. It is quite thick but I don't think this poses a problem blending it. I like to blend this in with a beauty blender, I find this gives the most flawless finish. I have the shade 4 which is a perfect match for me. It is worth noting that this does dry down a shade darker so go a shade a lighter. But over all this is my favourite full coverage foundation!

Have you tried either of these? What's your favourite foundation?

Until next time...
