Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam

The beauty community went crazy when they saw Anastasia Beverly Hills were going to launch this palette. And for good reason, it's stunning! It's a warm natural palette, with a mix of mattes and shimmers. Modern Renaissance is one of my most of loved palettes and I think ABH have just hit the nail on the head when it comes to eyeshadows so as soon as launch day rolled around, I brought this straight away, with no second thoughts!

On first look this palette doesn't look like anything special. I mean it's a warm toned, natural palette, I think most brands have one of some sort. But what really caught my attention with this palette is there's a matte White and a matte Black, alongside wearable everyday shades. I think every palette should have a matte Black! Most of my everyday palettes don't include One and it's super faffy having to use a separate eyeshade. So immediately this filled a gap in my makeup collection!

The packaging is nice, it has the same velor packing as all the other ABH Palettes. Which I don't mind, although this does get dirty super quick but that's just a small thing. The palette houses 14 shadows, which are:

Tempera - this is a really pale Peach colour. This a repeat from the Modern Renaissance palette. The formula is really soft, pigmented and blend-able. It makes a good eyeshadow base or brow bone highlight.

Glistening - this is a Gold Bronze colour with a frosted finish. It's really soft and translates to eyes well. It looks lovely worn all over the lid.

Orange Soda - is a matte, medium to light Orange colour. I love this shade. It makes a really nice transition colour and adds extra depth to the eye look. It's so soft and really easy to blend.

Rose Pink -  the name pretty much sums this up, its a Rosey, shimmery Pink. It's really pigmented and looks really good all over the lid.

Sultry - is a shimmery, warm, Coppery colour. It's a really beautiful shade. I like to use this all over the lid.

Bronze - Again, the name sums this up. It's a lovely shimmery Bronze colour. It's really pigmented and works well all over the lid.

Mulberry - This is another one of my favourite shades in the palette. It's a stunning matte, deep, Reddish Plum colour. This is really pigmented but it's so easy to blend. I like to use this outer v and lower lash line.

Dusty Rose - Is a matte, dusky Mauve colour. The colour pay off is spot on and it's so easy to work with.

Fairy -  is a shimmery light Gold colour. This isn't as pigmented as some of the shimmers in this palette, but it can be built up. It works well all over the lid or as a killer inner corner highlight.

Burnt Orange - this is a mid toned, muted warm Orange colour with a matte finish. I love this shade, I like to use it in my crease. It's so pigmented and so easy to blend. This is also in the Modern Renaissance palette but I don't mind because I love it so much.

Sienna - Is a matte, warm Red toned Brown. This is so pigmented and blend-able. I really like to deepen up the crease colour. It pairs well with Burnt Orange.

Rustic - this is a matte, warm Yellow toned Brown. Again this another great crease shade and pairs really well with the warmer shades in the palette.

Cypus Umber - is matte, dark Brown that leans slightly warm. I like to use in the outer v.

Noir - Is a matte, true Black. I applied this all over the lid for an Instagram video (which I don't normally do on an everyday basis) and I did find this required some building to get a rich colour payoff. It did blend really easily though. I tend to use Blacks for lining my lash line and with an angled brush this worked fine and the colour pay off was rich. I did also find when this was all over my lid it did crease really quickly. But that's not normally what I use Blacks for so I can forgive it.

I love this palette! It's such a good everyday palette and has pretty much everything I want from a palette. All the shades performed really on my eyes and lasted really well (aside from the Black). I had no issues with layering or blending the shades together. And none of them were overly powdery.

Overall, I really can't recommend this palette enough. If you're looking for a good quality, everyday eyeshadow palette then this is definitely worth investing in.
