Cleansing is probably my favourite part of skincare. It's just so satisfying to wash all my makeup off and I love the refreshing feeling of cleansing in the morning. I have dehydrated skin so finding a good cleanser that isn't too stripping and leaves my skin feeling tighter is important. So today I have a round up of my favourite cleansers.
LixirSkin Electro Charge Cleanser* | £25
I'm so surprised at how much I like this cleanser, I wasn't expecting much but this is amazing. It has a light cream consistency that melts away dirt and impurities. This can be used to remove makeup but I prefer it as a second cleanser, just purely because it's expensive so I'd rather have the goodness on my actual skin. It contains a special electro charge which attracts dirt, washing it away. This leaves my skin so smooth, I was really impressed by how smooth this leaves this skin. Definitely one to check out.
Verso Foaming Cleanser* | £32
Verso is one of my favourite skincare brands at the moment and this cleanser is amazing! It says it's foaming but I don't find this foams like regular foaming ones. It actually has a kind of balm, creamy consistency and it melts down when added with water. I like to use it as a second cleanser or in the morning. It leaves my skin feeling so clean, but not stripped. I also find this refreshing to use in the morning. It hasn't irritated my skin or caused it to break out. It's fab!
Allies of Skin a Clean Slate Cleanser* | £38
Another cleanser I highly rate is this bad boy from Allies of Skin and this has to be the creme de le creme of cleansers. This is 2-in-1 cleanser and mask so I use it as a second cleanse. It has a thick, sticky consistency that is actually quite hard to move around the face, but don't let that put you off. Once mixed with water and removed this leaves my skin so smooth, clean and not stripped. It's key ingredient is Salicylic acid which deeply cleanses pore of impurities. I love that this helps tackle breakouts without being drying. Plus this smells of Chocolate!
DHC Cleansing Oil | £24 (currently on offer for £19.20 here)
For makeup removal this has to be my favourite cleanser. It's an oil, which I tend to prefer for removing my makeup. It breaks down all my makeup, including mascara with ease. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I like to a take a pump or two, massage into dry skin for a few seconds before adding water. It emulsifies well to. When washed off this doesn't leave an oily film on my skin either which I love. There's a reason why 1 bottle of this is sold every 10 seconds and I can see why!
Fresh Soy Cleanser | £11.50
When my skin is breaking out and I'm not sure why this is the cleanser I also reach for. I don't know why but this is just so soothing on my skin. I use it as a second cleanser. It removes dirt and build up so well without irritating or stripping my skin and soothes any irritation. It has a light gel like consistency that feels really cooling and refreshing. It also leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This is a great all round cleanser.
Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser | £18
For days when my skin is feeling particularly congested and a bit dull looking this is the cleanser I reach for. It contains Gycolic acid which gentle exfoliates the skin while the Hyaluronic acid and other nourishing oils hydrate and sooth the skin. This instantly makes my skin look so much brighter and smoother! I don't like to use for too long in a row though because I do find it drying if I overdo it but if you have oily skin you might really like this. But for the occasional treatment this a brilliant cleanser.
There are my 5 star cleansers.
Have tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
