Makeup Lately

I feel like I always rotate the same products, despite always testing new ones I also go back to the same ones. But I've have new products I've been reaching for over and over, and I've been trying different techniques to apply my makeup so I'm so excited to share this instalment of Makeup Lately with you.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer | £22 | REVIEW

I've been reaching for this loads recently. I've been really enjoying it to sculpt out my brows and use it to conceal my dark circles. It's kind of difficult to explain in writing the technique I've been using with this, but I have a little Instagram video you can check it out here. The coverage on this concealer is amazing but it looks so natural on the skin. At first I didn't love this for under my eyes because it wasn't that brightening but I got the shade Light Neutral (which is the shade lighter than I have been using) which works brilliantly.

LA Girl Pro Matte Foundation* | £10 | REVIEW

LA girl recently launched their new Pro Matte HD Foundation, which is the matte version of the greatly loved HD Foundation. And I have to say I've been really loving it. It's definitely matte in comparison to the original. The coverage is medium to full but build-able. It blends so easily into the skin, the consistency is really watery. It sits really well over my problem areas too.

Beauty Bakeries Flour Powder | £19.50

To set my base in place I've been reaching for this powder loads. It's a finely milled loose powder, that blurs imperfections and blurs, as well as keeping shine at bay. This never looks cakey or heavy on the skin. It's just a great solid, all rounder,

Anastasia Beverly Hills Bronzer | £29 | REVIEW

For contouring this ABH bronzer has been my go to. I have the shade Tawny which is the perfect contour shade for me, it's not too cool nor too warm. The formula is so buttery, it blends with utter ease. This is a matte bronzer but it's not flat or dry looking. I love the shape of the pan too, brushes fit so easily into it. If you're in the market for a new bronzer I really recommend checking these out.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter | $28 | REVIEW

If you follow me on Instagram you will know how much I love this highlighter. The shade is just the most perfect Champagne Gold colour. The formula is incredible, as you would expect for Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's like a gel powder formula, it's difficult to describe. This isn't powder like you would expect for a powder, but you apply it in the same way. It looks stunning on the face, it's not glittery at all. It just gives the face a beautiful sheen.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil | £9

I've actually been using something different on brows, which I don't normally do. But no other brow product has got a look in since I got this. This pencil is just the quickest and easiest way I've found to fill in brows. Yet this gives me full, natural looking brows that stay in place all day. It even comes with a spooley on to comb through the brows.

Makeup Geek Shadow Pan in Creme Brulee | 34.95

Recently I've been loving super simple eye looks. So I've been taking Creme Brulee (which is a matte, medium, warm toned Brown) on a large fluffy brush, and blending it through my crease. I love the simple but put together look this gives. The formula of Makeup Geek shadows is one of my favourites. This shade in particular is so pigmented and so easy to work. It's doesn't crease and it lasts all day.

Makeup Revolution Lip Pencil | £2.50

These days I can't go without using a lip pencil to fill in my lips. I just love the full effect it gives the lips, plus I find it helps my lip product of choice last longer. My current favourite is the Makeup Revolution Renaissance lip pencil in the shade Vow. It's the perfect warm toned, Brown nude colour. It goes with most of my favourite lipsticks. The formula of this easily rivals some highend ones. It's so creamy and applies so easily, without pulling or tagging the lips.

Pixi Lip Icing* | £16 | REVIEW

For lips I've been opting for low maintenance products and this gloss fits the bill perfectly! It's a sheer formula that has Gold shimmers in it. It can be used alone or as a lip topper. I've been using it both ways and it looks gorgeous. The gloss itself it really silky and not sticky on the lips.

So that's been my go to makeup lately.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
