Instagram Made Me Do it

Instagram is the place I tend to find out about all the new launches. And I love the convenience of mini reviews and watching super speedy tutorials. Needless to say I've brought quite a few beauty products because of this little app. So I thought it'd be fun to share with you what I brought and whether it was any good.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette | £43 | REVIEW

Instagram is the first place I saw this palette and it was love at first sight. As soon as saw Anastasia Beverly Hills posting photos of this I knew I had to have it. I brought it on the day it launched and I have no regrets. The shades in this palette are simply perfect. It has a good mix of mattes and shimmers all of which are perfect for everyday wear. It even has a matte Black which I think every eyeshadow palette should come with. In terms of the formula this palette is second to none. All the shades are super creamy, pigmented and so blend-able!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter | £29 | REVIEW

This highlighter launched around the same time as the Soft Glam palette and from watching people use and swatch this I couldn't resist. In terms of formula this is very unique. It's a kind of gel powder formula but it doesn't feel wet. There isn't any kick up when you swirl your brush in this. This makes it so smooth to apply. It doesn't contain any glitter, just beautiful shimmers that catch the light beautifully. This isn't like a blinding highlighter but it's not subtle, it's the perfect in between. The shade is a really pretty Golden Champagne that would suit most skin tones. Overall, this has quickly become one of my favourite highlighters.

L'oreal Smooth Sugar Kiwi Scrub | £9.99 | REVIEW

I brought this after seeing so many people use it in videos. It looks so interesting. This is lip and face scrub that combines Kiwi extract alongside other natural ingredients to help tackle blackheads, blemishes and large pores. When I first used this I was surprised at how 'scrubby' this was. But this doesn't feel harsh or abrasive on the skin. It smells so yummy too! It does a really good job at deeply cleansing my pores and removing any dead skin off my lips. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh, smooth and soft! I'm really happy I brought this.

Tarte Bronzer | £25

This was another product I'd seen in a few tutorials and the shade looked perfect for my skin tone. I was a little apprehensive of buying this just in case the shade didn't work for me. But thankfully it does and I love the formula. It's so smooth and never applies patchy on the skin. It blends so easily to leave behind a natural look. I like this for contouring but it can also be used for warming up the face because it does have a warm undertone. But it's not too Orange nor to cool toned. It's a lovely bronzer.

Touch In Sol No Porelem Primer | £15 | REVIEW

I brought this after seeing a Touch in Sol post of a video of this primer being applied to Orange, to blur the dimples of the Orange. In the video it actually worked. So I had high hopes it would do this to my face. It's actually become one of my favourite primers ever! It is blurring and gives me a super smooth base to apply my makeup over the top! It does have a silicone base but this isn't too drying and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It also helps keep my makeup in place all day! I love it.
