Affordable Beauty Discoveries

I've been pretty strapped for cash recently so the drugstore / affordable products has been how I've been getting my beauty fix. I've actually found some really good, affordable gems that I'm excited to share with you.

Morphe Blush Trio | £12

I've started to develop a bit of a thing for blushes. Blush palettes in particular. I just love having a choice of blushes in one place. So I brought this super cute trio from Morphe. First of all the packing is sturdy and compact making this great for traveling. Plus you get a choice of shades and the palette doesn't take up to much space. I went for the shade Pop of Coral. Which has 3 Coral and Peachy shades in it. The shades are:

Boss - this is a matte, Melon Coral colour. This looks stunning on and it's not to matte it looks dry on the skin.

Fierce - This shade is a shimmery Coral colour. It does look scary in the pan but it translates a lot more subtle on the face. It's one of those shades that really lift the face and gives it a glow. It's perfect for shimmer.

Unapologetic - this is my favourite shade from the palette. It's a matte, muted Coral colour, that looks more Mauvey in the pan. It's the perfect every day shade, that compliments almost any makeup look.

The formula of the shades is so good. They apply beautifully to the skin and never look powdery. They blend with ease to. I'm eyeing up more shades.

CYO Body Oil | £7

Bronzing body oils seem to be the in thing at the moment and they are right up my street. I love a good tan and glow so why not extend that from my face to my body. Most of the brands doing them at the moment are quite expensive so I was super excited when I saw this one for just £7.  I've been testing it and I'm so impressed! This is an oil but it doesn't feel oily or slippery on the skin, nor does it transfer onto clothes. It gives the skin a gorgeous sun kissed colour too, with a beautiful glow! I love to apply on my shoulders and chest and it looks stunning. I can't believe how good this is for the price.

Lee Stafford Hair Wand* | £19.99

I've wanted to try one of these chop stick curlers for ages so I was over the moon when this landed on my door step. This gives the hair really tight ringlet curls. The wand itself is ceramic coated and heats up to 200 degrees really quickly! I like to take a small amount of hair, wrap it round the curls for around 5 seconds and release. Then I have gorgeous curls. I actually filmed an Instagram tutorial on this here. Overall, I'm really impressed with this and I've been rocking ringlet curls since!

Sleek Hydrating Primer* | £7.99

I do love a hydrating primer and this offering from Sleek is a great affordable primer. It has a light weight formula that contains hydrating ingredients to keep the skin looking plump and fresh all day. Which this really does. I've been enjoying using this with my favourite matte foundations and it really helps to stop them drying out on my skin.

Sleek Vitality Foundation* | £8.99

Lastly I have this foundation from Sleek. Which is a hydrating foundation that stays looking fresh all day. It has a runny consistency that's really easy to blend into the skin. It has a medium coverage that can be built up if you need more coverage. The wear time is ok, after around 6 hours this does start to break down slightly around my nose. But overall, this is a great foundation for its price point. They also have a pretty extensive shade range to!

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
