My Favourite Skincare Discoveries Of The Year So Far.

Last week I brought you my favourite makeup discoveries and today I'm back with my favourite skincare discoveries. I feel like the year so far has been pretty exciting for me in terms of skincare and i discovered some real gems that have made a huge difference with my skin. Here they are:

Verso Night Cream* | £95

I was completely blown away by this night cream from the first use. I've never really seen such amazing results from a moisturiser so quickly. This nourishing night cream contains Retinol. Which is one of my favourite ingredient discoveries of the year too! Essentially Retinol is a powerful anti- ageing ingredient that refines and brightens the skin. There's not much Retinol can't fix. The formulation of this Verso offering is a real winner. It leaves my skin so glowing and smooth. It also helps plump my fine lines and keeps my skin hydrated. The cream itself is really nourishing on my dehydrated skin but it's not heavy or greasy. Overall, this cream is game changing and I can't see myself without it.

Formula Hyluronic Brighting Cleanser* | £11

I've tried and tested loads of cleansers so far this year but the stand out winner is this affordable option from Formula. This is a rich cream cleanser that lifts away makeup, dirt and grime in a really gentle yet effective way. This does claim to be brightening and I'm not sure how much this has actually helped but I do find this makes my skin look a lot clearer and more healthy looking. I don't find this stripping either and it actually leaves my skin feeling really soft. I also really appreciate this cleanser comes with a pump, it's so easy to use and less chance of bacteria getting in it.

Kate Sommervile Glow Moisturiser* | £55

I discovered this moisturiser a few months into the year and it's quickly become one of my favourites. It contains Glycoloic acid that gently exfoliates the skin to leave it more glowing and bright. Which this really does. Since I've been using this my skin looks so much better. This is also super hydrating and leaves my skin so soft! This can be used in the morning and evening but I prefer to use it in the evening just because it is really hydrating. If my skin is feeling very dry then I will use this in the morning.

Indie Lee Q10 Toner | £30

This was a total whim purchase, a very good one though. This toner contains Q-10 which is another great anti ageing and hydrating ingredient. To be honest I wasn't expecting this to be so hydrating. But this really helps instantly hydrate my skin. Since I've been using this my over hydration levels have definitely improved. I use it in the evening and morning because you can never have too much hydration, well I can't. It works really well in conjunction with my other skincare products to. I've found my makeup applies a lot better and smoother when I use it. It's a brilliant toner and I can't recommend it enough.

The Ordinary Marine Hyluronics | £5.90

I really wasn't expecting much from this but I've nearly used up a whole bottle of the stuff! This serum is just so hydrating I keep applying loads. It has a really watery consistency that my skin drinks it up. But it instantly quenches my thirsty skin, leaving it plump and hydrated. This does only really hydrate so there's not a lot else I can talk about. But if you're in the market for a really hydrating serum look no further than this super cheap option.

Dr Roebucks No Worries Moisturiser* | £30

Last but not least I have another moisturiser. This offering however, has quickly become my favourite day cream. It's a really light, non greasy formula that absorbs really quickly but it's still really hydrating. I really struggle to find moisturiser that's hydrating enough for my dehydrated skin but that turns me into an oily mess. But this one is just perfect. It hasn't caused me to break out either.

So there's a few of my favourite skincare discoveries of the year so far.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
