Affordable Beauty Discoveries

There have been so many exciting beauty launches recently. I've made a few orders and I'm ready to share my thoughts.

Wet N Wild Highlighter | £3.75

First of all Wet n Wild  recently launched on Beauty Bay. Which is so exciting because the brand is highly raved about across the pond. This was the first thing I knew I wanted and I'm not disappointed. This isn't the softest highlighter in the world but it translates beautifully on the face! I have the shade Precious Petals,  which is a really pretty Peachy Champagne colour. It's my favourite shade of highlighter. The formula isn't chunky at all and it doesn't contain any glitter particles. Just beautiful shimmers that catch the light perfectly. For less than £4, this amazing!

Wet n Wild Contour Palette | £5.50

Another Wet N Wild discovery comes in the form of this contour and highlight duo. Which is actually really big. The pans are perfectly sized to dip your brush in. I went for the shade Caramel Toffee. The contour shade is a medium Brown that's not to cool nor to warm. It creates the perfect shadow colour on my skin tone. The highlighter is a matte Banana colour that is surprisingly pigmented, but it doesn't leave a Yellow cast on the face. I really like to set my concealer under the eyes. I will say it's not the finest powder I've ever come across but it's certainly not bad. The contour shade is buttery soft and blends perfectly into the skin. Both have brilliant staying power. Overall, I'm really impressed with this duo.

Wet n Wild Liquid Highlighter | £5

I'm so into liquid highlighters at the moment so I picked this one up from Wet n Wild to. I love that this has a large doe foot applicator rather than being a pipette like most liquid highlighters. I went for the shade Goddess Glow which has a really pretty Golden hue to it. The formula is a little thicker than some liquid highlighters but it still blends into the skin easily and looks really natural. Again this isn't glittery and it doesn't highlight any problem areas on my skin. Another winner from Wet and Wild.

L'oreal Chocolate Liquid Lipsticks | £8.99

I feel like I've spoken about these a few times on here but I wanted to give them another mention because the formula is so good! These are so pigmented and so easy to apply. The formula is more on the thick side which makes it really easy to outline the lips. They don't bleed or move round. Also the applicators are just perfect, they fit the lips and saturate them in colour in one swipe. I have 3 shades Tasty Ruby which is a stunning deep Red colour, Sweet Tooth which is a creamy nude colour, that is the perfect balance between a Pink and Brown toned nude. And finally Box of Chocolate which is a cool toned Brown. This is my least favourite shade because it pulls really Grey on my skin tone but if like cool shades I'm sure you would love this to. The formula is consistent throughout these shades to. And the staying power is incredible without being drying. I really can't recommend this enough.

Primark Setting Spray | £4

Another product that I've spoken about before but it's so good it deserves another mention! This is an illuminating setting spray that does give the skin a hint of radiance. I do actually think this also helps my makeup stay in place a little to. The mist isn't the finest I've ever come across but it doesn't shock my face or leave large droplets of spray on it either. For £4 this is a great little setting spray.

So there's a few affordable discoveries I've made recently.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
