It feels like it's been forever since I posted some of my affordable beauty finds. I have a little collection of goodies to share with guys. So let's jump straight in.
BH Cosmetics Brilliance Bronzer | £7.75
I won't lie I brought this purely for the packaging - it's so pretty. But I'm pleased to report the bronzer itself is really good. It actually reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer. I have the shade Coci Cutie which is a medium, warm Bronze shade. Because this is on the warmer side I do prefer this as a bronzer rather than a contour shade. It applies evenly and smoothly to the skin. It's so easy to apply I just take a large fluffy brush and apply it in the traditional 3 like motion to the outer side of my face. It lasts really well all day to. It's a great affordable bronzer.
OGX Marula Oil Shampoo and Conditioner* | £6.99 (each) currently on offer for £4.66 here.
This range from OGX is a real drugstore gem. Especially the condition. The shampoo is nice, it does a good job at cleansing my hair without stripping it. The conditioner though easily rivals some high-end ones. It's so hydrating and leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth. This range is formulated with Marula Oil which is a powerful hydrating ingredient. What I love about this range is how hydrating it is but it doesn't weigh my hair down. I'm so impressed by these and can't believe how cheap they are.
Vichy Merinal 89* | £16 currently on offer for £12 here
I've wanted to try this for ages, it has so many good reviews and I'm so glad I have. This has become a staple in my skincare routine. This is a kind of light weight serum that is formulated with only 11 ingredients. Including Hyluronic acid and skin loving minerals. I've been applying this straight after cleansing and toning. It absorbs into the skin really quickly, adding an instant shot of hydration. I've almost used up the whole bottle and I'm really impressed with the long term results. It has really helped my overall hydration levels and my skin feels so soft and plump. I really can't recommend this enough. Especially if you have dry skin.
BBB London Rose Water Mist* | £22
I have dry skin so I love a good face mist. I've been really enjoying this one from BBB London. It's formulated with soothing Rose water which is so really hydrating. It can be used as a primer, setting spray or a skin pick-me-up whenever needed. The mist is super fine and it doesn't disturb my makeup. It really helps to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day.
Revolution Pro Full Coverage Foundation | £8
I've actually had the foundation for a few months but I don't think I've spoken about it before. But I don't actually like this. It claims to be full coverage which it is. But the formula is really thick and a little difficult to blend. I also found this doesn't sit right on my skin, it exaggerates my pores and problem areas. So for me this was disappointing.
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Foundation | £9
Another base from Makeup Revolution I've been testing is this full coverage foundation which is supposed to be like the Conceal and Define concealer. Which I really love so I picked this up. But again I don't love this. I really like the packaging and applicator. It has a large doe foot applicator which makes it really easy and fuss free to apply. But like the Pro Full Coverage this just doesn't sit right on my skin. It does have really good coverage and the finish is matte but on me it just looks dry and not that nice. I will continue to try to make this work because I feel like it has potential. But at the moment this is a pass from me.
BH Cosmetics Floral blush | £4
I brought these simply because they were really cheap and look so cute. They are actually really good though. I got two shades Honolulu Hideaway which is a baby Pink colour with subtle shimmers in it and Bahama Bronze which is a pretty Bronze nude colour with shimmers in it. Bahama Bronze makes such a pretty blush shade. Honolulu isn't a shade i find myself reaching for but the formula is really nice. Both the shades apply evenly and last really well on the face. For just £4 these are a steal!
Pixi Rose Tonic* | £8
Last but not least I have this toner from Pixi. This is more of a traditional toner than an exfoliating one. It contains Rose and other hydrating ingredients to soften and restore the skins PH Balance. I really like this. I do find it actually really hydrating for a toner. It does also claim to help redness which isn't a big issue that I have so I'm not sure about that claim. But as a nice hydrating toner this is fab.
I feel like this months discoveries were a bit hit and miss! But the hits are brilliant.
Have you tried any of these?
