It's been a while since I made a ColourPop order. To be honest the whole process of getting it in the UK really puts me off but they recently changed the ordering process to include import taxes and customs in the shipping cost which makes the whole process so much quicker. This order arrived in just 4 days!! Which I was super happy about. Anyway here's what I got...
ColourPop Stick Foundation | $10 (currently on offer for $7 here)
I actually ordered the original ColourPop foundation a few weeks ago but I can't decide whether I like it or not, when I heard of the stick version I knew this would be right up my street. And I do really like it. ColourPop say it has a medium and build able coverage, with a skin like finish. I agree with the coverage and it does build seamlessly, without going cakey. 'Skin like finish' to me is satin but I'd say this is more dewy and glowy than satin, but I don't mind because that's my favourite finish. The formula is so creamy and blends into the skin with ease. It works well with a brush or a damp sponge. In terms of wear time, this isn't the best. I find it goes super shiny around mid day. It's nothing a bit of powder doesn't sort out but if you have oily skin I don't think this will be for you. Overall, for the price I do really like this foundation.
Bretman Rock Lit Eyeshadow Palette | $12
I don't overly follow Bretman Rock so I brought this purely for the shades. Which are stunning! It contains warm rich Browns, Burgundies and Golds! The sturdy cardboard packaging houses 8 shadows, 2 shimmers and 6 mattes. The shimmers are really pigmented and so soft. The mattes blend like a dream, they don't apply patchy and they're not to dusty. I had no issues with the wear time or fall out. I love this palette!
Bretman Rock Wet Lip Kit | $16
I picked up this lip kit from the Bretman Rock collaboration to. I just loved the look of the nude ultra satin lip and I liked the idea of having a matching lip gloss and lip liner. The lip pencil is a pretty dark, warm toned Brown colour. It so creamy and easy to apply to the lips. the ultra satin lip is a beautiful warm light to mid tone nude. It's really pigmented and the formula isn't drying on the lips at all! The lip gloss looks Blue in the tube and the description says it has an icy hue to it but it just looks clear to me. I love each product in the kit individually but not together. I find the lip liner too dark and when paired with the ultra satin lip it gives me that harsh lip liner look, with a dark ring around my lips. Which I don't like. When they are paired with similar shades they look lovely though.
Creme Gel Pot | $6 (currently on offer for $4.20 here)
This is actually an eyeliner but I brought with the intention of using it as a cream eyeshadow because the shade is so pretty. I got the shade Nut which is a light metallic Brown colour. It does actually work really well as an eyeshadow. I just apply with my fingers and blend the edges out with a fluffy brush. It sets down and does not budge!
Pressed Powder | $9 (currently on offer for $6.30 here)
This powder has been on my list for ages and I'm pleased to report I really like this! It's really finely milled and melts to the skin so naturally. One thing that I really love is this isn't overly mattifying, it does set my makeup but it doesn't give that matte finish. It just sets the makeup without altering the finish. It does kind of blur my pores and fine lines to. I do find this extends my makeup wear time a little to. As affordable powders go this is amazing!
Loose Powder | $9 (Currently on offer from $6.30 here)
My best friend loves this so I decided to get it. And to be honest I think I need to play with it some more. I've used it a couple of times for baking but I don't love baking at the best of times. With this powder I found it way too drying, and it gave my under eyes that creepy tight feeling. I do really like the formula of the powder though, it's quite fine. I need to use it some more but I'll report back.
There's my most recent ColourPop Haul.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
